Project LEAP

Project LEAP is the next generation of NE-2A’s Quality Lodge Summit held from 2009-2012. Project LEAP is designed to support the six lodges of the section in their efforts to improve their program and achieving Journey to Excellence recognition. This day-long training event includes sessions on a diverse set of topics such as improving Brotherhood conversion, supporting your council, ceremonies, communications and more! It also provides an opportunity for inter-lodge fellowship as well as our second Council of Chiefs meeting of the year.

Who Can Come?

Lodge officers, committee chairmen, chapter leadership, advisers and any Arrowmen that are interested in getting more involved should make it a point to be there!

When: January 31, 2016, 9am – 4:30pm

Where: Connecticut Fire Academy, 34 Perimeter Road, Suffield, CT 06078

Cost: $15 if registered on or before 1/24/16, $20 after 1/24/16

Highlights: The training is done by a select group of exceptional arrowmen with experience in the field of their training, and trainers consist of top-notch arrowmen from within the section and other parts of the Region.

INFORMATION ABOUT TRAINING TRACKS: The training sessions at Project LEAP will be grouped by six different “TRACKS”. These tracks have each been developed to target a specific audience. All of the training sessions have been specifically designed and customized for the audience of its track. the training sessions are also sequential – so the third training session in each track builds off the second session, which builds off the first session. Because of this, it is highly recommended that you commit to one track in order to get the most out of your Project LEAP experience.

Morning Training Sessions

Leadership Track: The leadership track was created to assist in understanding and developing characteristic that will prove essential for any leader’s success. This track is intended for lodge and chapter officers.

Program Track: The program tack was constructed to address several of the challenges a lodge faces and enabling those in the track to make a difference in overcoming these problems. This track is intended for committee chairmen.

Participation Track: The participation track is made for Arrowman who lack leadership experience or knowledge in the Order but are interested in learning more and becoming more involved.

Adviser Track: The adviser track is constructed to talk about executing the responsibilities of an adviser and how to best help the youth.

AIA Track: The AIA track is intended to cover the various topics integrated into American Indian Activities and is complemented by a Pow Wow in the afternoon.

ICE Track: The ICE track is intended to cover the principles of being a good ceremonialist, as well as further the understanding of the pre-Ordeal and Ordeal for the participants.
